Hasstech Inc. was born in 1975 when Ed Hasselmann invented the Vapor Control and Processing (VCP) system, which collects gasoline vapors emitted during auto refueling and draws them back to underground storage tanks via a special pump. The VCP's success led the San Diego-based manufacturer to develop two more products: the Multi-Mode Combuster (MMC) and the Leak Computer Tank Test system.
