Fed: Howard to look at claim against Wooldridge = 2

Mr Howard also said he found claims against a former pharmaceutical industry lobbyist
appointed to the nation's drug advisory committee extraordinary.

The Australian Medical Association (AMA) and the Labor Party have demanded that Pat
Clear be dumped from the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) because of
a perceived conflict of interest.

It follows a concerted campaign by Labor against Mr Clear's appointment to the committee
which helps decide what drugs are subsidised under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.
