NSW: Police Minister declines to comment on personal safety

SYDNEY, April 6 AAP - NSW Police Minister Tony Kelly has refused to comment on whether
he fears for his safety following new laws to crack down on bikie gangs.

Within hours of the passing of the laws on Friday, extra police officers were assigned
to watch over the homes of Premier Nathan Rees and other senior ministers, including Mr
Kelly, The Daily Telegraph reports.

But the police minister declined to comment when asked at a press conference on Monday
whether he had any safety fears.

"I don't want to make any comment on my personal safety whatsoever," Mr Kelly said.
